This was Max WiFi's first year providing services to the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show based at Hampton Court Palace, on the outskirts of London.
The first challenge was understanding the vast size of the Royal Park that hosts the event. Luckily the RHS in-house event team had great plans and plenty of planning time.
Our Project Manager spent a lot of time in discussions with the client, visiting the site and pawing over the plans to fully understand the requirements before designing the voice and data network and its implementation on the site.
He commented "This is a very complex event to design and implement. The number of users, the topography of the site and the complexity of installation have all converged to make this an interesting and challenging event. I am so pleased it has all come together so well."
We developed a comprehensive project plan that was shared with the client to ensure nothing was missed out and once everyone had agreed the plan, Max WiFi placed the orders with BT and managed the installation of the PSTN, ISDN and ADSL services across the site.
Finally, the big day arrived and portacabins rolled on to the site... quickly followed by Max WiFi Technicians who set to work running cables, installing modems, routers, switches, access points and phones.
The entire installation was completed over the course of two weeks with the team on and off site as the show took shape.
Finally the doors opened and with Max WiFi Technicians on hand the show was a great success all round.
The Event Manager from the RHS commented:
"We would like to express our sincere thanks for the help and support you and your team have demonstrated in the excellent planning and delivery of The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2009. We would also like to thank you for the loyalty and commitment you have dedicated to the show."
