Wireless specialist Max WiFi has won a contract to supply communications to this year’s Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park from 13-16 October.
Now in its 8th year, the fair hosts 170 of the world’s most exciting galleries, featuring work by forward-thinking artists.Organisers are expecting up to 80,000 visitors over four days with 2,000 on site at any one time, many of whom will be using devices such as iPads and smart phones.
“The brief was to supply a solution for a high density of smart devices which can prove a number of challenges to provide WiFi for but we’re confident we’ve designed the right infrastructure for Frieze Art Fair,” said Max WiFi managing director Richard Hughes.
Max WiFi will lay a 100Mb fibre optic circuit, which will remain in place throughout the year, and install 35 wireless access points within the structures, plus 10 extra for the Frieze Art Fair offices.
Frieze Art Fair IT development manager Sean Chambers said: “I am impressed with Max WiFi, not only were they open to trying new ideas, they also think long term and were able to offer us a viable solution which will make things easier for this year and for the future.”
