About Us

Richard founded Max WiFi in 2006 after working as a European Events Manager for BT. Richard oversees the day to day running of Max WiFi and acts as a Project Manager on some of our major events. Richard enjoys seeing a project through from start to finish and all the problem solving that comes with it!

He is particularly proud of the long-lasting relationships created with the likes of the LTA and Frieze.

Rob joined Max WiFi in 2019 as Business Development Executive and is responsible for managing sales enquiries and coordinating plans with the site team. He gets a buzz out of the positive feedback Max WiFi get from our clients following the delivery of a successful job.

Rob likes the opportunities to travel with the role having represented Max WiFi at trade shows and conferences across the country and overseas.

James oversees all of Max WiFi’s events from a technical perspective. With qualifications including CCNA, CWNA, ECSE/D, James is an expert when it comes to designing wireless networks for our managed venues and live events. He is proficient with wireless networking hardware from all vendors, particularly Cisco, Ruckus and Ubiquiti.

James loves a technical challenge and coming up with a variety of solutions for new clients and his favourite event for Max WiFi is when he gets to spend a couple of months in Los Angeles for Frieze Art Fair!

Alfie joined Max WiFi in 2015 as a Trainee Cable Engineer and in the last 5 years has designed and installed cable infrastructure for some of the most complex venues and major events Max WiFi work on. He particularly thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing environment that is experienced on event sites.

Alfie’s favourite time of the working year is festival season as he loves seeing his hard work result in some amazing events such as Bournemouth 7s festival.

Oli previously worked as a Structural Engineer but decided to change career direction and join Max WiFi as a Trainee Network Engineer. His problem solving and analytical skills will be an absolute asset to Max WiFi when deploying our networks.

Oli is looking forward to working with cutting edge technology at live events both nationally and internationally and is excited to be joining a tech based industry.

Dan worked as Head of Exhibitor IT for eForce at Earls Court & Olympia in London before joining Max WiFi as Head of Operations in 2010. In his role, Dan is responsible for looking after clients, managing relationships with suppliers and overseeing the delivery of our projects. Dan says he enjoys the culture at Max WiFi as well as the people he gets to work with across the industry.

Dan’s personal Max WiFi highlight came during the 2012 Olympic Games where we installed the network in the International Olympic Committee Lounge.

Alex is responsible for running Max WiFi Support, our managed services division, which launched in early 2022. Having supported clients for over 8 years and with a high motivation to deliver a different service than a typical MSP, Max WiFi Support became the perfect opportunity to provide managed services within the events and hospitality sectors.

Alex says he already feels extremely lucky to be a part of a great team already and he is looking forward to working with some great clients and building new relationships too.

After owning her own recruitment business, Jo joined Max WiFi since 2007 where she is responsible for the finance, HR and team management aspects of the company. With a degree in French and Linguistics, Jo enjoys the European events at Max WiFi and loves the opportunity to travel round the continent!

She says her favourite thing about running Max WiFi is the variety that comes with working in the events industry as well as the flexibility that comes with working in a small team.

Carolyn has been Max WiFi’s company accountant since 2007 and is credited with CIMA and FSAAT, she gets involved with all aspects of accountancy here at Max WiFi and the only thing Carolyn loves more than a spreadsheet is the tight-nit team she gets to work with!

She enjoys the jobs that offer some different financial challenges particularly the events we work on overseas.
